Radio Controlled Boats- Electrics for Beginners

An often discussed topic I see on forums regarding radio controlled boats is whether you should buy an electric boat or a gas/nitro boat.  They are all wonderful boats and in my opinion if you are a beginner and a child under 12-13 I would say an electric boat would be better for you. These electric radio controlled boats are still very fast and come in many different sizes. There is little maintenance and many of them come as RTR or (ready to run) out of the box.  Their quiet electric motors are appealing to some because they are so quiet and don’t disrupt people around you.  When you become familiar with your boat you can always upgrade to a nitro or gas powered boat or you may always be an electric RC lover.  Just remember to play safe when you’re operating your radio controlled boats around others.
